VentureCore Capital (VCC) is a boutique advisory firm specializing in raising joint venture equity for real estate acquisitions, developments and recapitalizations. We focus on sponsors and developers with compelling value add opportunities in core real estate markets.  VentureCore Capital bridges the gap between quality projects and the equity needed to bring them to fruition.

We are a solutions oriented team that blends capital structuring with invaluable underwriting insight to position clients and their projects to receive private equity and/or institutional capital.  We also have extensive expertise in deal structuring and solving sponsor challenges such as balance sheet strength, track record and other potential execution hurtles. 




The core VentureCore Capital team has been working together for over twelve years raising private equity and advising clients with investment strategy. The team was originally assembled in 2003 with a focus on raising private equity for small to mid-size mixed-use infill development projects.

In 2014, the VCC group forged a partnership with the Senior Managing Directors of NGKF Capital Markets, John Carrick and Robert Lindner. Both are seasoned experts in institutional joint venture equity with over 35 years of combined experience in real estate capital markets and transactions totaling over $100 billion.

NGKF Capital Markets is the financial services division of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) which is the third largest commercial real estate advisory firm in the world with a transactional volume of $83.43 Billion in 2015.  The NGKF Capital Markets team has deep capital relationships and an unparalleled track record for raising institutional equity.

This partnership allows VentureCore Capital to effectively blend true institutional capital capacity with a boutique private equity platform.


What We Do

VentureCore Capital focuses on bringing equity to sponsors and developers that have a track record of success, but have yet to tap the institutional marketplace for capital.  We bring a unique approach to the capital raise process by first arranging the equity portion of the capital stack.  We then follow with debt financing that compliments the equity structure.  This enables a one-stop shop approach for financing deals and to 1) reduce the overall cost of capital and 2) dramatically increase the successful funding of the entire capital stack.


  • Underwriting developments, acquisitions and recapitalizations PRIOR to the capital raising process to identify and mitigate potential deal issues.
  • Positioning clients to partner with Private Equity and/or Institutional Capital sources over multiple projects.
  • Optimizing the capital structure of proposed developments and acquisitions reducing financing costs and maximizing terms for clients.
  • Reducing required sponsor capital contributions to increase General Partner equity multiples.
